Summary: The plot on this one is pretty simple. Sydney has always done what she’s told and been the good girl. She’s never even tiptoed out of line. But all that’s about to change, and she’s picked the perfect person to help her. Too bad he’s her brother’s best friend. Preston has been warned by his best friend’s sister, Colin. And he did try, but Sydney is too irresistible. When she asks him to help her shake her good-girl status, how can he say no.

General Thoughts: This is my first Nikki Sloane book, and it won’t be my last. This book is steamy but still has enough of a plot and character development to see it through. But if you are looking for a book with deeply fleshed-out characters/plot, this isn’t your book. If you are looking for a super cute, fun, steamy read with characters you can’t help but root for with plenty of steam, then this is for you.

I like my characters a bit more fleshed out to give a 5 star, but this is a solid 4 because the writing was good, and for the type of book it is, Nikki did a great job. I’m also super curious and want to go back and read the prior ones in the series now. I read this out of order, and so can you, but you might as well start with the first one, as you’ll almost certainly want to read them all.

I really liked seeing Sydney come into her own and seeing Preston’s POV. I didn’t read these in order, so it was easier to forgive him for past mistakes that were centered in other books.

On the whole, a very enjoyable read.

Steam Meter: ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥.5 Steamy and frequently steamy.
